Top 5 Tv Shows and Movies You Need to See

There is no better feeling than finding that Movie or TV show that you resonate with perfectly, and with the onslaught of content coming out nowadays, it can seem impossible to choose these well-crafted shows hidden in the mess. This list will be your guide to the shows that will blow your mind, bring tears of laughter or tears of sympathy, and get your heart racing from the comfiest part of your couch.

The Last of Us

Now, this show was on our list of shows to look out for in 2023, but now that it’s out, it has smashed our expectations. The dramatic acting from superstar Pedro Pascal and the emotionally driven, cinematically excellent overall production makes this an early candidate for show of the year. Do yourself a favor and check this show out tonight and come back to tearfully thank us later.

Ted Lasso

This Jason Sudeikis masterclass is a funny, dramatic, and surprisingly deep show about an American Football coach learning to coach professional soccer players. This may seem like a simple concept, but the execution is anything but, complete with betrayal, secret subplots, romantic complexity, and the most badass strong silent type characters of the decade in “Coach Beard”. This smash hit is coming back in mid-March for a second season, which gives you plenty of time to binge the award-winning first season just in time.

The Mandalorian

This is another throwback to our shows to look out for list (subtle plug for that wonderful post), but the excitement has come to a point with the incredible new trailer out now. Jon Favreau, fresh off a new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, seems to have done it again, transporting us all into the breathtaking, fantastical world of Star Wars through a new lens. If you’ve somehow missed it, the Mandalorian follows a masked bounty hunter as he travels the galaxy seeking honor, meaning, answers to the mysteries of his people, and a surprising journey through a caretaker/father role he never saw coming. Baby Yoda (Grogu) is back, and now is the perfect time to dive into this wonderful world of action and galactical adventure.

Night Court (It’s Back!)

This one may be confusingly nostalgic, but it's true; Night Court is back! The classic courtroom sitcom/dramedy is making a strong return, with Melissa Rauch playing the iconic Judge Abby Stone as she navigates the complexities of the law and the legacy of her father. Whether you watched the original in the 80s or have never heard of Night Court, this remake is worth the watch for some wholesome, entertaining laughs with some real moments that might just catch you off guard.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

This movie was more surprising since Marvel has been gearing up for another huge series of movies in the next few years. We didn’t expect Paul Rudd and Jonathan Majors to be the way they announced their next huge villain, but this movie brought back some of the big, dramatic movie flair they have been lacking, and it’s definitely a theater movie. Be ready for a little more of a Paul Rudd feel to the movie, but you’ll have a good time at the theater with this box-office smash.
